InfoOn the occasion of the 40th edition of the historic Mille Miglia, E.A. KAHANE held a photo exhibition at the Museo Mille Miglia in Brescia, Italy, in 2022. FRONT ROW SEAT became a large-scale photographic installation in the courtyard of the museum. E.A. KAHANE took the photographs in 2021 when her son and husband participated in the race. In 2023, she returned to participate with a group of five other women and to install this rigorous exhibition.
In its first iteration, FRONT ROW SEAT, a photograph exhibition by E.A. KAHANE, was shown at Sarah Langley Gallery @ Hammetts Hotel in Newport, Rhode Island. The exhibition was co-curated by Jessica Hagen Fine Art and featured a selection of photographs taken on the summer of 2021 in various locations around Italy during the famous Mille Miglia Race. E.A KAHANE had access to the race behind the scenes, and was front and center as the cars rolled into ancient cities across the country. Her husband and son drove a 1954 FIAT Otto Vu - seen above. Kahane's exhibition, FRONT ROW SEAT, offered a look into the Mille Miglia Race that occurred in Italy, summer 2021. Kahane and her family own several classic cars, and while her husband and son raced, she spent time taking photographs of other participants, vehicles, and spectators who came out to watch the cars drive by in the multi-city race. From her FRONT ROW SEAT, Kahane was able to take intimate photographs, and the exhibition is a rare treat for fans of the race and those who are just discovering it, to enjoy the ride!
Some photos and a video of the installation of “FRONT ROW SEAT” The Most Beautiful Race in the World! Below are a series of images documenting the installation and opening reception. The prints are large, 60” x 40” archival pigment prints on canvas. Newport Living and Lifestyles posted a fabulous photo from the Opening Reception on their Instagram account. I gave out flags at the opening!
